I have a little project I’m interested in building out, I’m currently using a chinese coffee scale that connects over bluetooth that shows me water flow rate, extraction rate, bloom time, and a velocity graph. It’s all very neat, but there are slight annoyances with the app, so I was looking into building a webapp to replace the app.
I highly doubt there’s any security measures in place, its literally just a (mostly, aside from firmware updates) read-only coffee scale. What would be the best way to reverse engineer the communication between the app and the scale?
