Hello, I have led strips around my room that are controlled by a remote. I’m not the best a remembering things so I often leave my led lights on while away. I could leave a note by my doorway saying to turn them off, or I could create a project where I could control my led lights via my phone or anything really.
What I’ve learned is that my ir receiver thing that came with the led lights works with most remotes I have. So my idea is to strip one of my spare remotes to it’s motherboard and ir thing and then somehow connect that to a circuit with a nodemcu I have and then have that use IoT to talk to my phone to turn my lights on or off.
I’m coming to Reddit to ask if this will work or not?
I’m not the best with stuff like this so go easy on me.
