IoT Button – non wifi

Hi all,

A noob question, I’m looking for a button (IoT?) that will communicate via cellular network (not wifi) to say some server. (think Amazon Dash except via a SIM card rather than Wifi)

What options are there for hardware? (I found Pressto but looking for some cheaper alternatives.)

What should I read as a primer to understand the options?
