So, I’m a student in my first year going back to school for IT and my Intro to IoT class has us working on a learning project. There is a rough language barrier with my professor and my class is pretty free-form a lot of just researching broad info on the internet on our own, not my learning style. So long story short, my group decided to do a simple smart doorbell.
The concept is to press a doorbell, activate a camera to take a picture that will be placed somewhere on a 3-D printed head, and send the image to a device through some internet connectivity. Ideally we are trying to keep the project simple and easily open for future improvement, as that is a grading standard.
My partner has created the model for our head. I’m looking for information on where to begin the project ie: what kind of materials are to be expected, our college has some equipment available to us:
- 3D Printer
- Raspberry Pi
- Echo Dot
- Remote Control ‘Toy’ Cars
- Security System (Cameras and Hard Drive)
- (AWS Deep Racer)
