You Can Finally Listen to Your Old Cassette Tapes with Bluetooth Headphones

Do you remember the first cassette tape you ever purchased? Maybe you feel nostalgic about the first time you stayed up all night recording songs on the radio to make the perfect mix tape for your crush. Or maybe you missed the cassette tape era and want to experience the crackle and pop of worn magnetic tape for yourself. Whatever the motivation, you can now listen to those tapes with this brand new, Bluetooth-enabled cassette tape player.

Yes, you read that correctly, this is a brand new cassette tape player. It’s called “IT’S OK” and it recently launched on Kickstarter, and has already more than tripled its funding goal. Sure, you could just go to a thrift store and purchase a vintage Sony Walkman for like $2, but then you wouldn’t be able to use the fancy Bluetooth headphones that you own. IT’S OK comes with built-in Bluetooth 5.0, so you can use it with those headphones or a Bluetooth speaker.

Other than the Bluetooth capability, IT’S OK is really just a standard cassette tape player. It plays regular ol’ cassettes, and you can record your own tapes using the built-in microphone. It’s powered by two AA batteries, just like your old Walkman, and has a 3.5mm headphone jack if you want to skip using Bluetooth altogether. IT’S OK is available in three different stylish colors: “Cloud” (white), “Sakura” (pastel pink), and Evening (dark blue).

If you want an IT’S OK cassette tape player, the Kickstarter campaign is running until August 5th. You can get a single player in whatever color you want, with a blank cassette tape included, for $75. Rewards are expected to be delivered in December.
